3 Webby Nominations for Sisu!

Just got the word that our work for Sony.com has been nominated again for a Webby! Last year we took home the Best Home Page category; this year we are shooting for the Best Visual Design/Function category. Sony was also named an official honoree for Best Navigation/Structure. And if that wasn’t enough, two of our mobile design projects were nominated in the Inaugural Webby Mobile categories! Our work for Hearst is up for Entertainment and Zannel for Social Networking.

These nominations also put us in the running for the People’s Voice awards in their respective categories. If you have a moment, head over and cast your vote for us! We are going up against some tough competition so every vote counts.

Fingers Crossed!

Sony.com

Our flagship project with the Sony Corporation of America is Sony.com, the gateway to the World of Sony. We overhauled the site’s design, functionality and build, revising it to better reflect Sony’s brand values of exemplary design and innovation. The site supports divisions as diverse as Sony Pictures, Sony Electronics and PlayStation through adaptable promotions and placement areas – all presented in a dynamic Flash interface. We also redesigned 200+ corporate site pages and backed it all with a custom CMS.

MySpace Mobile

We took great pleasure in working with the MySpace team to create the new WAP site for MySpace. From mapping out user flows to designs to the XHTML build, we immersed ourselves in all things MySpatial…

Hey - your phone’s ringing… I bet it’s Tom!

Wasserman Media Group

Wasserman Media Group (WMG) is a global sports management group with a lot of great athletes and a lot of sites to build. So Sisu created a site buildin’ site that lets WMG quickly create great-looking, unique sites for each of their stars. The Cake-based CMS lets WMG choose from a wide variety of hybrid Flash/HTML templates then populates them with each athlete’s custom content and imagery. The first lucky recipients include Tracy McGrady (who subsequently led the Rockets to 19 straight wins… we’re pretty sure the website inspired him), Freddy Adu (who had to move to Portugal to get away from all the people complimenting him on his website) and Hanley Ramirez.

Hearst Mobile

Hearst came to Sisu to design the mobile interfaces for their stable of 18 marque magazines. Sisu created a design system capable of incorporating dozens of types of content within custom branded shells. The system strikes a balance, preserving brand integrity within WAP 1.0’s limited capabilities while giving users fast access to WAP-appropriate, fun content and features. Hearst’s mantra for their mobile efforts is “I had no idea my phone could do that!” Well now it can!
